This species has a broad distribution as a ground cover in temperate rainforests through Japan and Korean, Russia and the western US states . This Japanese selection has larger leaves with a creamy marginal variegation, and is a standout for shade. Best in rich, moist shade. Z3, 6” tall x spreading 2” pots.
