Distinctive genus, as all feature few, radial, burnished leaved stems. An easy texture for the woodland. 2” white catkin flowers in spring. This species is on the shorter end—15” or so, and early to emerge in spring. Clumping. Best in woodsy soil in shade and moist. Z5, 3” pots.
