Cirsium rivulare 'Trevor's Blue'
$16.00
Brought back from England when it first became available, and in the intervening years it has proven a much more vigorous plant in the ground than ‘Atropurpureum’ (from which we understand it is a tissue . culture sport. There’s also a white flowered form, but we don’t have it. Yet.) Flower color is typically thistle mauve, but the plant is, like ‘Atropurpureum’, sterile. Pollinators love this Aster clade, perhaps as much as we! 3-4’ Fresh divisions from the ground here which will quickly settle into new homes. This species can handle heavy soil and extra water while growing, but winter drainage is necessary for the crowns. Z5 Quart pot.
