We received this years ago as C. breviflorus and blindly sold as such until a helpful customer pointed out that what we had was, in fact, C. mackenii. Under any epithet, a cheerful South African Amaryllidaceae, regularly offsetting and producing multiple flushes of long lasting, clear yellow flowers. THis plant is deciduous and summer dormant. Blooms appear late winter through spring and often again in autumn. Hardy to Z7ish, but we think best enjoyed in a pot. 3” pot.
