This beast of a hybrid selected in 2018 synthesizes the punchlist of elements we began chasing a few years ago: vigor, heat tolerance, and smaller leaves on flowering stems so that the flowers beneath are revealed rather than obscured. It’s a complex hybrid, and we expect it to be hardy to at least Z7, but it hasn’t been widely trialed and a couple of parents are generally considered to be Z6, so we think it’s well worth a try in slightly colder spots.
