We edit out inferior Sanguisorba seedlings annually, but make a point to save good forms. These are divisions of a very good clone of S. parviflora, a little used species but one of our favorites, as it has a fantastic habit and flowers early. It’s not fast to propagate from division, however, and raising from seed reveals many permutations in older plants.
