An unusual, exceptional Boehmeria, which doesn’t precisely key to its closest proxy, B. biloba, though it does get similar apically forked foliage. We received from Massachusetts gardener and plantswoman, Sheila Magullion and fell in love with its highly textural sandpapery leaves. Old growth gets much larger if not pinched—to 6 inches across or more with forks. 2-3’ x 2-3’ with typical nettle flowers in late summer here. Z5 at least, part shade/shade, quart pot.
