A spontaneous hybrid discovered by the former We Du nursery, and named for the town in NC where it was found. Unlike its parents, it’s completely sterile and bulblet free (i.e. non-invasive and actually a bit slow to offset). It’s both an easy garden plant and a chic and dramatic cut flower. 20-24” spathes with a long, whip like, spadix appear beginning in late spring, continuing throughout the season and lasting 2+ weeks in a vase.
