A hybrid selection from Jim Glover with a somewhat confusing cv name, as it is also the common name of Pinellia tripartita ‘Atropurpurea’, but be assured it’s not. The three parted foliage on this plant emerges a deep, chocolatey purple, fading as summer progresses to deep green above and purple beneath, and the green flowers have a very long spadix. It is sterile, and though it occasionally produces a bulbil on the leaf , it is in no way pernicious.
